Could you please give me a list a chess computer games for PC capable of explaining positions in plain language a la Fritz 8? Names of older good games and older Fritz versions are welcome since they might cost less :-)

23 ( +1 | -1 ) vitalis,The latest versions of Chessmaster have a "Natural Language" feature feature that is somewhat similar to Fritz 8. If you're you're not familiar with it, I can have CM do such an analysis and e-mail it to you or post it here. I'm not familiar with any others. ws

51 ( +1 | -1 ) Maybe yet to comeI tried both Chessmaster and Fritz for the plain explanations.
However, I got disappointed soon. I see you're higher level than me (1400-1500 now), so I doubt you can find them any more useful than entertaining sometimes. They don't tell any insights or psycological traps. I don’t expect to any PC program will suggest anything you can find in books, like how to exploit the advantage of Bishop against Knight.
Anyway, I gave up using the feature, so there might be someone with more positive experience.
